At OzLED, we are proud to partner with Ready Towing to bring next-generation lighting technology to Australia's roads. In a recent article by Fleet News, our cutting-edge mPower lights were featured on Ready Towing’s flagship Hino FD Super Low Tilt Tray, boasting one of the most advanced warning light systems in the southern hemisphere.
Designed and manufactured by SoundOff Signal, the mPower lights are the first optic-grade, silicone lens lights available in Australia. These virtually shatterproof lights are perfect for emergency and heavy-duty applications like towing. Their ability to withstand extreme conditions, coupled with advanced 3-wire LIN technology, makes them a standout in the industry.
This innovative technology allows for over 24 programmable flash patterns, including brake, tail, indicator, reverse, scene lighting, and directional warning functions—all managed through an intuitive control system. This means operators can quickly adjust lighting settings for any situation, ensuring that their vehicles are visible to other drivers and pedestrians, even in the most challenging environments.
Tyler Boyle, OzLED’s Business Development Manager, explains, "The silicone lens lights provide improved sealing, flexibility, and impact resistance, making them ideal for the harsh conditions tow trucks face on Australian roads."
In addition to the lens technology, mPower lights also feature high-performance optics that deliver incredible brightness and clarity. For emergency and fleet applications, this means improved safety and awareness, especially in roadside situations. The ability to customise flash patterns and lighting modes allows for greater flexibility and efficiency on the job.
As congestion increases on Queensland's roads, the safety of tow truck operators has become a major priority. Ready Towing has partnered with OzLED to ensure that its fleet is equipped with high-visibility, emergency-grade lighting that enhances road safety during both day and night operations.
Amber lighting is critical for tow trucks and fleet vehicles operating on busy roads and highways. The bright, flashing lights ensure that these vehicles are visible to other drivers from a distance, giving them more time to react and providing operators with a safer work environment.
"The Bright Flash lighting system is designed to provide clear warnings to oncoming traffic, even in the most challenging conditions," says Mathew Ready Jnr, Ready Towing’s On-Roads Operations Manager.
Australia’s harsh environment demands lighting solutions that can endure extreme weather, rough terrain, and constant exposure to dirt and debris. The mPower lights, with their rugged silicone lens design and advanced sealing technology, are specifically engineered to handle these conditions without compromising performance.
For tow truck operators and fleets that face constant wear and tear, the durability of mPower lights means fewer replacements, lower maintenance costs, and increased operational efficiency. The IP67 rating ensures that the lights are protected against dust and water ingress, so operators can rely on them no matter what the job throws at them.
While the flagship model is currently the only vehicle equipped with the mPower lighting system, Ready Towing plans to install it across all new fleet builds. With a user-friendly control system accessible from inside and outside the vehicle, operators can quickly adjust the lighting configuration to suit their needs, improving both safety and efficiency.
The ability to integrate mPower lights into vehicle management systems means that tow trucks and other fleet vehicles can benefit from scene lighting, directional signals, and traffic arrows—all at the flick of a switch. This type of automation not only increases safety but also reduces the burden on operators, allowing them to focus on the task at hand.
The success of this collaboration with Ready Towing highlights OzLED’s commitment to delivering innovative lighting solutions that enhance safety and efficiency for fleets across Australia. As more vehicles adopt the mPower range, we’re confident that road safety will improve for both operators and the general public.
